Congratulations to all of our young writers who participated in the Young Author's Conference. Sauk Prairie was represented by 18 students from grades 3-5.
These young authors from Grand Ave, Merrimac and Tower Rock had their writing selected as winning entries. Because of their winning pieces, the students earned participation in the Central Wisconsin Talented and Gifted (CWTAG) Young Author's Conference where they heard from a published author and attended writing workshops. Their work is published in an anthology of winning entries.
The Young Author's Conference, held earlier this year in Westfield, featured writing from students across Central Wisconsin in the areas of poetry, narrative writing, and creative writing.

Grand Ave 4th and 5th graders competed in the Math 24 competition.

Grand Ave 5th grade students performed a concert last week in celebration of what they have learned in music this school year. Thank you to our music teachers for giving the students the opportunity to learn about music and to explore musical instruments.

These young artists are excited have their art printed on products like mugs, coasters, key chains etc. for family members.
Grand Ave students create original art for the Grade School Partners In Education-GSPIE Square 1 Art fundraiser. Funds raised are used to help pay for programs and activities at the school.

Save The Date! The Grand Avenue Gallop is September 27th! 🏃🏻🏃🏽♀️

We are so lucky to have such talented staff in our arts department. Last week Mrs. Hiel and Ms. Knitt took our 5th grade chorus to Bridges, Maplewood, and the Pines to share some songs they had been working on. 🎶 Ms. Yarnell and Ms. Grier have been working with 5th graders on their end of the year project! We added on to our courtyard. This year's piece is made of recyclables and made a living wall! 🌸 🌺

Grand Avenue Gallop...coming September 2024! 4th graders were asked to use their creativity and design our shirts for the upcoming year! Congratulations to our winner, Maddie! Maddie's design will be included on the front of our 1st ever! Grand Avenue Gallop shirt!

You know the school year is starting to come to an end when we have an extra 120+ kiddos in our building. Yesterday Bridges 2nd graders made the trip over to Grand to see what next year might be like! Friends got to reconnect, cousins got to play, and siblings got to show off their school! Dear future 3rd graders, We cannot wait to see you walking the halls at Grand Avenue and being apart of our GA family! Enjoy your summer and we will see you in the fall!

We had the pleasure of listening to our 3rd graders and their wonderful concert today! Don't miss out on watching all the hard work these kiddos put in! Tonight @ 6 you can hear them sing their hearts out!

April 8th, 2024-A day that will go down in history for our students. From the "WOAHs" to the "LOOK AT ITs" we heard from Grand Avenue students and staff, we can only assume that this will be something they never forget.

March Madness has been in full swing at Grand Avenue. From music to art to books we enjoy, our teachers are always finding ways to make learning fun! 🏀🦅

Our 4th and 5th graders shined in the Math 24 Regional tournament. Congratulations to all the participants!

Our 3rd grade teachers and Mrs Brickl decided to bring a little excitement to their Amplify unit of Light and Sound. 3rd graders are learning what makes up white light and how we see color💡 🌈

Today we had the privilege of listening to our 5th graders perform for their concert. They did a great job and we hope all of our families enjoyed the show tonight! Thank you Mrs Hiel and Ms Knitt for all your hard work to put these wonderful shows together! 🎶 🦅

Happy Read Across America Week! 📚 The third grade students at Grand Avenue joined Scholastic, US Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, and Ludacris this morning as they read "Daddy and Me and the Rhyme to Be!" Students were able to join the live stream and listen to the story while interacting with questions and giving answers to the rhymes! What a one-of-a-kind opportunity for them! 🖤❤️
