We did it! This morning we ran the Grand Gallop and had a blast! There were waves of white, black, and red as our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders hit the turf to get their laps! Thank you to everyone who supports near and far as we kick off our school year with this event. We appreciate you all! 🦅
$10,000+ has been earned by our Grand Avenue students and families! That means we reached a step in our prizes! Looks like these kiddos will be enjoying some custard on Friday after they run!

The 2nd Annual Grand Gallop will be on Friday, September 26th at the High School Football Field.

Molly's hometown is Baraboo. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She was inspired to become an educator by her elementary art teacher Ms. Hansen.
One of her greatest joys is visiting with her grandmas. (The attached photo is Molly and her Grandma Bea.)

Meet Karlie Volk, School Psychologist for Grand Avenue and Tower Rock!
Karlie, originally from Three Lakes, has a Bachelors in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a Masters in School Psychology and an Education Specialist in School Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.
Karlie is excited to join the Sauk Prairie School District and the community! She is recently engaged and along with her fiance is in the process of planning a wedding. In her free time, she loves the outdoors -- especially being on the lake. She enjoys going for walks with her dogs and hanging out with friends and family.
Karlie's parents are lifelong educators and her greatest inspiration. She hopes to follow in their footsteps and make a difference in lives of students and families.

There was more than a "fair" amount of knowledge on display at the Grand Ave 5th Grade Science Fair. Student scientists conducted research and then presented their results at the science fair. These photos are only a sample of the variety of topics covered. We are impressed! Great work 5th graders!

We wrapped up listening club for the year. This is an opportunity for our 3rd graders to connect with a volunteer and build a growing love for reading. If you'd ever like to be a volunteer for listening club, please reach out. We would love to have you! 📚

Congratulations to all of our young writers who participated in the Young Author's Conference. Sauk Prairie was represented by 18 students from grades 3-5.
These young authors from Grand Ave, Merrimac and Tower Rock had their writing selected as winning entries. Because of their winning pieces, the students earned participation in the Central Wisconsin Talented and Gifted (CWTAG) Young Author's Conference where they heard from a published author and attended writing workshops. Their work is published in an anthology of winning entries.
The Young Author's Conference, held earlier this year in Westfield, featured writing from students across Central Wisconsin in the areas of poetry, narrative writing, and creative writing.
Grand Ave 4th and 5th graders competed in the Math 24 competition.
Grand Ave 5th grade students performed a concert last week in celebration of what they have learned in music this school year. Thank you to our music teachers for giving the students the opportunity to learn about music and to explore musical instruments.
These young artists are excited have their art printed on products like mugs, coasters, key chains etc. for family members.
Grand Ave students create original art for the Grade School Partners In Education-GSPIE Square 1 Art fundraiser. Funds raised are used to help pay for programs and activities at the school.

Grand Ave fourth grade held a read-a-thon on December 20. Money pledged was donated to the Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry. The students raised $1,302.75 that will go toward purchasing food and other items that the food pantry can distribute to those in need.
